About This Page & Disclaimers

This Notion webpage is a single (ish) person effort to document and archive English neopronouns that are often overlooked. Most focus is directed towards exclusive and dialect-based pronouns that are underrepresented in most lists. When possible, pronouns are sourced to any independent coining that can be found; then, scholarly articles; then simply left unsourced.

Nounpronouns outside of the listed themes or that are non-exclusive are not listed, as they're present in most other resources. This may change!

When a term on this page is listed as exclusive, it's wholly based on any coining post(s) found. This page, as mentioned, is intended to document history of various neopronouns, so as such definitions will be based on the coining(s). Not all pronouns coined through this page were created by me, but all pronouns coined through this page (marked with a ^) are listed with consent and uncredited to protect anonymity. Please source and credit this page when reposting them to any Wikis or lists!

Someone’s pronoun coin being on this page doesn’t mean wi like or support them as a person. Pronouns, terms, and flags exist beyond their coiners, and as this is a document of neopronouns and their history, it would be disingenuous not to link known coinings regardless of whether I personally like who made it.

If you want to help, send pronouns, sources, and coinings ƿi missed to the link below! Sources for pronouns already on the list are especially appreciated.

<aside> ‼️ key: pronouns that are conjugated as plural (ie they/them) are starred (*) pronouns and terms coined through this webpage have a caret (^) important notes will be contained in brackets [like this] pronouns with links, ie (1) will link to a source. links are from oldest/first coining to newest.

know a pronoun I forgot, or know the coiner or a scholarly article on an unlinked pronoun? please fill out this form (or DM me if you know my Discord)!
